East Village Brewing is solely owned by Aaron Justus and Brandon Green, friends who have been brewing professionally for 15 years. They met while working the packaging line at Ballast Point, where they both got to experience the extreme growth of a beer brand that was eventually distributed across the United States and several countries abroad.

They decided to break away and open a neighborhood brewery that makes small batch beers with a focus on high-quality wholesome ingredients. Aaron and Brandon are also outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking local trails and all the wonderful state and national parks here in California. It's the driving force for our focus on sustainability within the brewery.
